Battle of the Party .Orgs: DNC vs. RNC

Partisan Traffic: Battle of the Dot-Orgs

LasagnaFarm enjoys covering political news (the real stuff) about as much as it would have liked dragging its tongues across the floor of its high school cafeteria dumpster (excluding tacos day). Still, there's something about this election-year's street fight between Democrats and Republicans LF cannot seem to look away from. We remember with fondness the time at lunch in fifth grade when we stopped heckling two fat kids who were lumbering through a violent dust-up only after they both turned on us, forcing us to keep them at bay using wild kicks and punches, at least until the lunch ladies opened the ice cream window.

The "fat kids" to which we now turn our attention are the RNC and the DNC, both of which operate separate, but as you will see, unequal (traffic-wise) Web sites. Take a look at Alexa's traffic ranking for the two dot-orgs and see which has the advantage. Looks to me as if the Dems are keeping with the technocratic tradition; even before this season's convention, the GOP was trailing. Still, those Grand Old fookers seem to have spiked in recent days. Backlash against the Boston Dance Party? How does this bode for the election? You tell us. We don't know much about this stuff.

Of course, what's really at stake between the two is who will sit in the White House. And what's the White House without the naughty bits? (Why, it's the Bush presidency, that's what.) In that case, let's look at the results compared to a traffic-ranking baseline of sex site Whitehouse.com. You knew that was where we were going, didn't you?

Rejected Titles of The Latest Star Wars Prequel

Rejected Titles of The Latest Star Wars Prequel

Several news outlets are reporting that George Lucas has taken another hit off of his 800-billion megaton Industrial Light and Magic virtual mega bong. The bearded one announced over the weekend that the final episode in his most recent trilogy of Star Wars prequels will be titled "Revenge of the Sith." LasagnaFarm believes Lucas is just making shit up now, probably using a set of poesy refrigerator magnets, a tattered copy of "The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe" and a kilo of hydroponic space pot grown on the International Space Station. Sith? Is that even anything related to Star Wars [It is. Don't be such a putz. - ed.] Well, whatever. We've unearthed several rejected titles of the film. Here they are.

"Revenge of the Orchidaceous"
"Revenge of the Arrrrgh"
"Revenge of the Pthhhhh"
"Revenge of the Rarow!"
"Revenge of the &#$!%$#@!!"
"Revenge of the $$$$$$$"
