Buddy, Can You Spare a Network
Friendster is becoming such a major institution among the plume'd post-adolescents, like we here at the Farm, that kids like this guy in Austin are selling access to their a-list (sez them) networks. Paying for friends has never been so easy. Lasagnafarm, on the other hand, is handing out friendship like boxing nun puppets at Comdex 1999. Get your invite today.

Rob, er, Baron Von Jersey
Rob Sterling knows more about the state of New Jersey than Krucoff does about mid-1970s A-body Dodge sedans. (And that's saying a lot, considering K's recent mechanical trials with Goldie). Sterling's spanky new New Jersey blog, Boro6 is the current toast of the blogsphere, scoring mentions in many fine NYC e-rags, including this one. Our trucker's caps are off to Mr. Sterling, who sez he will be "defining New Jersey by how it isn't Manhattan." Snap!

Dumb NY Times quote of the day:
"The typical fan can't tell you whether the Yankees are an Adidas team or a Coke team," said Bill King, who covers the businesses of Nascar and major league baseball for Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal. "Nascar fans know that Jeff Gordon is Pepsi. They make those connections."
It’s not that NASCAR fans are smart. It’s probably because the Yankees don’t wear uniforms with PEPSI writ large across their chests.
